Maintenance contracts and mod proposals, priced in the machine room
Per-unit maintenance agreements, callback repairs, code-required testing, and modernization proposals — paperwork-heavy work in a paperwork-heavy trade. Smart Scope turns machine-room photos and your spoken findings into signed, line-item proposals priced from your own contract rates.

Built for the way elevator work gets sold
Machine-room photos become findings
Shoot the controller, machine, ropes, and pit — the AI turns what it sees into deficiency line items a property manager can understand and approve.
Your per-unit rates, your contract terms
Maintenance priced per unit per month, testing at your flat rates, repair labor at your hourly — never a generic industry number on your paper.
Dictate the survey, skip the clipboard
Talk through each car as you go — “car two, worn ropes, brake adjustment, door operator near end of life” — and it's structured before you're back at ground level.
Make the board meeting agenda
Property managers bundle decisions for board meetings. A proposal in their inbox the same afternoon makes the agenda — one that shows up next week waits a quarter.
Signatures without chasing POs
Managers approve and sign digitally, and repair deposits are collected in the app — no more work held up by a PO lost somewhere in the management office.
Margin per unit, per building
See which maintenance routes and buildings actually earn — and which contract the callbacks are quietly eating alive.
Survey to signature in three steps
Survey and shoot
Photograph the machine room, hoistway, and cab on the visit you were already making.
Speak the findings
Dictate deficiencies and recommendations car by car — the AI prices them from your book.
Send for approval
The manager signs digitally — repair authorized and deposit collected before the next callback.
Three proposals from one route day

Door operator replacement
“Car one, replace the door operator, new clutch, adjust the closers — two techs, half a day.”
A repair proposal with parts, labor, and a night-work option as separate lines — approved by the property manager the same day.

Five-year load test
“Category five test on both cars, weights in, witness fee, and the paperwork filed with the AHJ.”
A flat-rate testing proposal with the code citation right on the line item, so the board sees exactly why it's required.

Traction car modernization
“Nineteen-eighties traction car — new controller, machine refurb, door packages, cab interior as an allowance.”
A phased mod proposal with good-better-best controller options and a payment schedule — ready for the board packet.
One cycle, fully covered
Findings that sell themselves
Photo-backed deficiency reports turn “trust me, it's worn” into line items a board can approve.
Contracts priced per unit
Per-unit monthly agreements with covered items spelled out — renewals re-priced in minutes, not evenings.
Code work, documented
Category tests quoted with the code reference attached — signed before the deadline instead of after the violation.
Mods with options
Good-better-best modernization packages let the building pick a budget instead of shelving the whole project.
Learn the app on sample jobs, not live units.
In Settings, tap Add Sample Data and pick elevator service — 100 realistic sample scopes load across your board: Cat-1 load tests, hydraulic jack replacements, controller modernizations, door operator repairs, annual maintenance contracts, code inspections. Every scope carries tagged line items, an activity trail, scope-of-work notes, and a financial breakdown with margin. Quote them, schedule them, lose a few on purpose — they're all samples, so nothing real can break.
The machine room, documented and on call
Site Walk
Nameplates and readings in one pass
Walk the machine room narrating what you see — scan controller and motor nameplates, snap readings and photos as you go. Everything lands on a timestamped, geotagged timeline, and the AI suggests priced line items after.

EyesOn
A senior mechanic's eyes, live
Your mechanic streams live two-way video from the machine room — hands-free with Meta Glasses — while a senior mechanic talks them through the fault from the office on Command OPS. The visit records to the job.

Elevator trade questions
Can it price per-unit maintenance contracts?
Yes. Set your per-unit-per-month rates and the covered items once, and every agreement quotes from them — hydraulic and traction rates can differ, and callbacks outside the contract price at your hourly. When a renewal comes up, re-pricing a building takes minutes instead of an evening.
How does it handle code-required testing?
Category tests go in as flat-rate line items with the code citation attached, so a manager or board can see exactly why the work is required and what it costs. That context gets tests approved before the deadline instead of after a violation notice shows up.
Is it useful for modernization proposals, or just repairs?
Mods are where it shines. Build a phased proposal — controller, machine, doors, cab — with good-better-best packages and allowances for finishes the building hasn't chosen. Attach a payment schedule and it's ready for the board packet the same day you surveyed.
What does Smart Scope cost?
One subscription with everything included. See current plans on the pricing section of our home page, or download the app and take a look for yourself.
Does it work where there's no signal?
Capture doesn't need one. Site Walk notes, photos, form filling, and nameplate scanning all work offline — basements, crawlspaces, and dead zones included — and sync when you're back in coverage. AI drafting runs when you have a connection, so walk the job dark and let the estimate build on the drive out.
Is there an Android version?
Smart Scope runs on iPhone and iPad today; Android is on the roadmap. Your customers don't need the app at all — estimates, forms, and the portal open as web links on any device.
Does it replace my dispatch or routing software?
No — and it doesn't try. Smart Scope is the estimating layer: it wins the job, then syncs the scope straight to Smart Service, with webhooks to push your data anywhere else. Your dispatch board and routing stack stay right where they are.
Can my crew use it too?
It's built for the person doing the estimating, but it doesn't stop there — dispatch scopes to other users, put EyesOn live video in every tech's hand, and let the office follow along on Command OPS.
What does it cost to try?
Nothing — 45 days, full app, no credit card. When the trial ends you're never auto-charged; the app goes view-only until you decide, and your data stays yours to export.
Can it handle code test documentation?
Category test records and maintenance logs run as digital forms — filled in the machine room, offline included, with unit details pulled from nameplate scans.
